Very Large Vintage Eisenberg Sterling Amethyst Rhinestone Crystal Mermaid Seaweed Strands Pin |
1944 Eisenberg Mermaid Brooch It is a hard-to-find piece.
The brooch is extremely heavy and very large, measuring about 3" tall. The mermaid body is made of solid sterling silver and then it has a nice, deep purple amethyst stone in her belly. Then, in her arms is an amethyst string. She is then encrusted with several clear rhinestones. The back of the brooch is stamped STERLING and Eisenberg Original. You can see the fine details and it is just a massive piece with considerable weight. The pin is in excellent condition
Signed Eisenberg Original and testing sterling silver. May very well have been gold-plated originally. It is completely wearable now, but could be perfected in some ways. USE THE MAGNIFIER.
Huge, elegant and fabulous, this piece would look just as regal on a tux jacket as a gown or coat.
