First, we apologize for the photo angles and quality - it is difficult to photograph paper under glass. This is an annual pass for Pullman cars that was issued by George Pullman himself in 1888. It bears his signature, and was presented to a Mr. Howard Hinckley, who I have not been able to identify. These passes were typically issued by the company to famous individuals or potential customers that the company was trying to impress. I have not seen one that was actually signed by Mr. Pullman. This presentation includes the original envelope in which the pass was presented - it has been separated and mounted so that both sides of the envelope can be seen. The pieces have been professionally mounted, matted, and framed using UV resistant glass. The overall measurement of the frame is 12-1/2" x 15-1/2", and the pass itself measures 3-3/4" x 3-1/4.
