Kromex was first produced by Alcoa Aluminum Company around 1957. Kromex specialized in kitchenware and serveware. Despite being very popular, Kromex was only offered for a short period of time. Kromex products were known for having clean lines, sleek features, and durability. Kromex was phased out during the early 1960s after Alcoa was bought by Reynold’s Aluminium who shifted their business operations to primarily industrial production.
These two trays share the same long, narrow style and measure approximately 16" long and 6-1/2" wide. One has a wooden (teak) set of handles, which is the "Mode" pattern; the other has brass plated handles, and we're not sure of the pattern name. Both are in excellent condition. There is no damage, there are few areas where there is a bit of smudging and dirt; a bit deeper cleaning than we gave them might be in order.
